The first League and Copa del Generalísimo (1939-1941): Following the Spanish Civil War, Atlético de Madrid (then Atlético Aviación) experienced a golden age. The 1974 Intercontinental Cup: Although Atlético de Madrid lost the 1974 European Cup final against Bayern Munich, they had the opportunity to play in the Intercontinental Cup against Independiente of Argentina. In a two-legged tie, Atlético prevailed, winning their only intercontinental title. This was a prestigious international achievement for the club.

The League and Copa del Rey Double (1995): The 1995 season is one of the most memorable for Atlético fans. Under the management of Radomir Antić and with stars like Diego Simeone, Kiko Narváez, and Milinko Pantić, Atlético de Madrid achieved the historic double by winning both La Liga and the Copa del Rey. This was an epic triumph that broke the hegemony of other major clubs and is etched in the club's history.
