1974 FLAMENGO - Retro Football Shirt

Founded by three young men as a rowing club, an elite sport in the late 19th century, Flamengo began as a club where a group of players, dissatisfied with Fluminense Football Club, broke away after a dispute with the board. These players decided to join Flamengo because Borgeth, the team's captain, had also been a rower for the club.

Their first official match was played on May 3, 1912, and remains the club's most spectacular victory, defeating Mangueira. Their greatest international achievement was winning the Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup in 1981, with a team that included Paulo César Carpeggiani (coach), Júnior, Adílio, Tita, and Zico, considered the club's greatest idol. Flamengo is one of the clubs with the largest fan base in the world.
