During the 1950s the club established itself among the best, fighting bravely in the Spanish First Division and consolidating itself as a competitor in the highest category of national football. One of the outstanding players during this time for Real Club Celta and its Canteira was Pepe Villar, a historic center back who played 269 games in eleven years, and who later became a coach in the lower categories, training the following celestial generations. ..
