In the early 2000s, Atlético de Madrid was going through a difficult period, but the red-and-white passion never faded.

Players with grit and heart, like Fernando Torres, led a group that, although young, possessed the same ambition and spirit as always. The exemplary fans filled the Vicente Calderón every weekend, convinced that returning to the First Division was a must.
One of the most memorable moments of this era was the 2001/2002 season, when the team achieved the long-awaited promotion. That season symbolized the rebirth of a club that never stopped believing in itself, supported by a fanbase that, in the darkest moments, remained loyal to its colors.
