1966 WORLD CUP FINAL - Vintage Ball

The balls used in the World Cup have been modified over time thanks to the use of new technologies that allow for improvements in aspects such as speed, water resistance, precision, and design. Since the 1970 edition, the balls for each World Cup have been designed by Adidas.

In the early tournaments, leather balls filled with a bladder were used for stability, but over the years they evolved and their characteristics were modified. In 1963, Adidas began manufacturing them, and the company's first ball for the tournament was named Telstar, in honor of the satellite that made it possible to broadcast the event to various parts of the world.
