In 1927, Real Racing Club took a crucial step by making its mark beyond the regional level. They participated in the first attempt at a professional league in Spain, showcasing a fast and powerful style of play with notable victories, such as the 9-0 against Sevilla. Although the tournament was not completed, it demonstrated their ambition. In 1929, as the First Division was being formed, Racing was the only club not invited and had to earn its place through a qualifying phase. After defeating Sevilla in a hard-fought final, they gained entry on sporting merit, becoming a founding member of the League. This feat reinforced their identity and the pride of their fans.

Racing Club de Santander was officially founded and played its first match against Strong at El Sardinero stadium.

1931 Relevance
Racing established itself in the national league, actively participating in regional championships and gaining prominence in Cantabria.

1972 Mustaches
