In October 1899, Barcelona was a city buzzing with cultural activity, but football still lacked its own distinct identity. It was then that Hans Gamper, a young Swiss man passionate about the sport, decided to place a small advertisement in the magazine Los Deportes seeking teammates to play football with. That modest appeal, just a few lines long, resonated far beyond its original intention and sparked something much bigger than casual matches.

On November 29th of that same year, Gamper and eleven men from diverse backgrounds met at the Solé Gymnasium and, united by the same passion, founded Football Club Barcelona. That gesture—an advertisement, a meeting, a shared dream—was the origin of a story that, over time, would transcend stadiums and generations.
